- This is a fun ride – there are no winners or prizes for first place. Everyone who completes their circuit is a winner.
- Junior Tour 5km Tour (2 large laps): Participants may be accompanied by a parent / guardian on a bicycle at an extra cost of R20 per accompanying adult. NO HELMET NO RIDE.
- Junior 10km Tour (4 large laps): Participants may be accompanied by a parent / guardian on a bicycle at an extra cost of R20 per accompanying adult. NO HELMET NO RIDE.
- Dress: Accompanying Moms & Dads should please set an example and wear a helmet. NO HELMET NO RIDE.
- Bring sun block!
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY: Conditions of Entry and Participation in the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Tricycle and Junior Tour (hereinafter referred to as “EVENT”)
DECLARATION BY LEGAL GUARDIAN (Participant under 18 years)
I, in both my personal and representative capacity as legal guardian of the MINOR hereby unconditionally accept and agree to bind myself to the terms and conditions set out hereunder.
1. I acknowledge the risks and hazards, which exist in a venture of this nature.
2. I consent to MINOR’s entry and participation in the EVENT and accept the risks attaching thereto.
3. I acknowledge and accept that MINOR attends and/or participates in the EVENT entirely at his/her own risk.
4. I am responsible to ensure that MINOR strictly adheres to all the applicable rules, directives and instructions in respect of the EVENT.
5. I accept that the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust, its trustees, (hereinafter referred to as ENTITIES) accept no responsibility or liability for and undertake in both my personal and my representative capacity of MINOR not to bring any claim of whatsoever nature or kind against ENTITIES or in any way to hold ENTITIES liable for and agree to indemnify ENTITIES from and against, any loss, damage, injury, disability, death, expense, cost or liability of whatsoever nature which I and/or MINOR may incur or suffer which in any manner, in whole or in part, arise directly or indirectly from MINOR’S entry or participation in the EVENT including any activities associated therewith or any arrangements incidental thereto whether or not such loss, damage, injury, disability, death, expense, cost or liability was occasioned by way of use of defective material or by way of any human or mechanical error, default or failure or from any other cause whatsoever, except upon proof that such loss, damage, injury, disability or death, expense, cost or liability was due to the negligence of any or all of the above named ENTITIES in which event ENTITIES potential liability shall be limited to any claim which falls within the ambit of and indemnity limits of ENTITIES respective insurance policies.
